Connect HiHello to ChatGPT

Ask ChatGPT about your card analytics, cards and events, using your live HiHello data.

What ChatGPT can do with HiHello​

ChatGPT gets the same read-only access as every other HiHello connection:

  • Card analytics: views, saves and contact adds over time, by channel.
  • Card search and details: find a card by name, person or title and read its contact fields and public link.
  • Events: dates, linked cards and event analytics.

Limits: ChatGPT can't change anything in HiHello for now, as the integration is read-only. Custom MCP apps run on ChatGPT on the web only. Members can use available plugins in Chat or Work in the ChatGPT mobile app once their workspace admin enables access.

Before you start​

  • A HiHello account. Connecting company data requires owner or admin access to that HiHello organization.
  • A ChatGPT plan that supports apps. Adding a custom MCP app requires developer mode, which OpenAI offers on Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces.
  • On Business, Enterprise or Edu, a workspace admin has to turn on developer mode first, or add HiHello for the workspace.

Add HiHello from the ChatGPT directory​

  1. In ChatGPT, open Plugins and search for "HiHello".
  2. Click Install Plugin and sign in to HiHello, choosing the account you'd like ChatGPT to act on behalf of.

Add HiHello as a custom MCP app​

For workspace admins (Business, Enterprise, Edu)​

  1. In the admin console, go to Workspace settings > Permissions & roles and turn on Developer mode / Create custom MCP connectors. On Enterprise and Edu you can limit this to specific roles.
  2. Create the HiHello app (steps below) and publish it to the workspace. Published apps appear in everyone's approved list.

Publishing doesn't share your HiHello data. Each person signs in with their own HiHello account.

Create the app​

  1. Turn on developer mode under Settings > Security and login. ChatGPT shows a warning that custom apps run third-party code; read it and accept.
  2. Open Plugins, click Add and choose Create MCP App.
  3. Name it HiHello and paste the server URL https://mcp.hihello.com/mcp.
  4. Set authentication to OAuth. Leave client ID and secret blank; ChatGPT registers itself with HiHello automatically.
  5. Click Create, then sign in to HiHello, choose your personal account or an organization you're an owner or admin of, and click Allow access.

Use HiHello in a chat​

  1. Click + in the message box and choose HiHello.
  2. Ask your question, for example "Compare QR code views and email signature views for my card over the last 90 days."

Disconnect HiHello​

In ChatGPT, open Plugins, select HiHello and disconnect or delete it.
