Connect HiHello to Microsoft Copilot
Bring HiHello card and event data into Microsoft 365 Copilot so your team can ask about it from Teams, Outlook or the Copilot app.
What Copilot can do with HiHello
Copilot reads the same data as the other connections: card analytics by channel, card search and details, and events with their analytics. It can't make changes in HiHello.
Using GitHub Copilot in VS Code instead? Follow the VS Code setup.
Before you start
- A HiHello account. Owner or admin access to the HiHello organization if you want company data.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses for the people who will use it.
- An admin role in Microsoft 365 (Global admin, or a role that can manage Copilot agents and plugins) to make HiHello available to your tenant.
Microsoft is replacing "Agents" with "Plugins" in Copilot during fall 2026 (Message Center post MC1484008). If your tenant still shows Agents, the steps are the same under the old name.
Option 1: Turn on the HiHello plugin (admins)
- In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Agents > Tools.
- Find HiHello.
- Open the Users tab and choose All users or specific users and groups. Use a security group if you want to roll out to one team first, like marketing.
- Save. People you assigned will see HiHello under Plugins in Copilot.
Connect your HiHello account (everyone)
- In Copilot, open Plugins and select HiHello.
- Ask a question. The first time, Copilot asks you to sign in to HiHello.
- Sign in, choose your personal account or an organization you're an owner or admin of, and click Allow access.
Option 2: Add HiHello to a Copilot Studio agent (makers)
Use this if HiHello isn't in your plugin list yet, or you want HiHello inside an agent you already built.
- In Copilot Studio, open your agent and select Tools > Add a tool.
- Search for Model Context Protocol, select it, then select New tool.
- Enter the name HiHello, a description (for example "Reads HiHello card analytics, cards and events"), and the server URL
https://mcp.hihello.com/mcp. - Choose OAuth 2.0 (dynamic discovery) so Copilot Studio registers itself with HiHello. No Entra app registration is needed.
- Under Connection, select Create new connection and sign in to HiHello.
- Publish the agent, then under Channels select Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Each person who uses the agent signs in with their own HiHello account, so they see only what they can already see in HiHello.
