Connect HiHello to Claude

Ask Claude how your cards are performing, find a teammate's card, or check which event drove last week's spike, using your live HiHello data.

What Claude can do with HiHello

Once connected, Claude can read four kinds of data from your HiHello account:

  • Card analytics: views, saves and contact adds over time, broken down by where people found the card (email signature, QR code, Apple Wallet, virtual background, widget).
  • Search: find cards by name, person or job title.
  • One card's details: contact fields, public card link, template and status.
  • Events: your events with dates, the cards linked to them and event analytics.

Some things to try:

  • "Which channel drove the most card views for our sales team last month?"
  • "Find Maria's card and give me her public link."
  • "Did views go up during the trade show last week?"

Limits: the connector is read-only. Claude can't create, edit or delete cards, contacts or events.

Before you start

  • A HiHello account. To connect your company's data, you need to be an owner or admin of that organization in HiHello. Members can connect only their personal account.
  • A Claude plan with connectors. Every plan supports connectors, from Free through Enterprise. The Free plan is limited to one custom connector.
  • On Claude Team or Enterprise, an owner has to add the connector for the organization first (see For Claude Team and Enterprise owners).

Add HiHello from the Claude directory

  1. In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors and search for "HiHello".
  2. Click Connect.
  3. Sign in to HiHello and choose the account to connect (see Sign in and choose an account).

Add HiHello as a custom connector

For Claude Free, Pro and Max

  1. In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it HiHello.
  4. Paste the server URL https://mcp.hihello.com/mcp, then click Continue.
  5. Claude detects HiHello's sign-in settings automatically. Leave them as they are and click Continue.
  6. Under Authentication, choose Sign in now. Leave OAuth client and Request headers at their defaults; HiHello doesn't use API keys.
  7. Click Add, then sign in to HiHello.

For Claude Team and Enterprise owners

On Team plans only Owners and Primary Owners can add connectors. On Enterprise, anyone with a custom role that includes Manage access to Libraries can add them too.

  1. Go to Organization settings > Connectors.
  2. Click Add, hover over Custom and select Web.
  3. Name it HiHello, paste https://mcp.hihello.com/mcp and click Continue.
  4. Keep the detected sign-in settings, choose Sign in when needed under Authentication and click Add.

Adding the connector doesn't give anyone access to HiHello data. Each person still signs in with their own HiHello account, so Claude sees only what that person can see in HiHello.

For Claude Team and Enterprise members

  1. Go to Customize > Connectors.
  2. Find HiHello (it may show a "Custom" label) and click Connect.
  3. Finish the HiHello sign-in (next section).

Sign in and choose an account

After you click Connect, HiHello opens a sign-in window:

  1. Use the same email and password, Google or SSO login you use for HiHello today.
  2. Under Act on behalf of, pick the account Claude should read: your personal account, or an organization you're an owner or admin of.
  3. Review what Claude will be able to read and click Allow access.

Use HiHello in a chat

  1. Click + in the lower left of the message box.
  2. Choose Connectors and turn on HiHello.
  3. Ask your question. Claude asks before using a HiHello tool the first time, unless you've set it to always allow.

Disconnect HiHello

In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors, open HiHello and click Disconnect.
